Kopete is an easy to use instant messaging app that operates on KDE. Kopete supports most major instant messaging protocols and can send an alert when someone in your contacts list goes on line using any of their accounts. Chatting with friends online has never been easier as contacts can be organised into groups and a search function is included. File transfer is also available and webcam visuals can be shared. A full range of plug-ins offer additional functionality such as spellcheck, history and security options.
